Typical email from Peach to Hodge

So there I was surrounded by Scandinavian hunting squirrels an one of them made the first move. It was a jugular shot. I was quick of the eye so was able to spot the incoming rodent missile. As soon as I spun my torso to avoid the razor sharp squirrel fangs my vision blurred for an instant, and that was all that the fur converted adversaries needed to get an opening. As my vision returned to the pack, 3 more incomings were incoming and I was about to become many different pieces of my former self.

I cant say that I know what happened, but I can say that it happened without thinking, and instantaneously. 3 of my 4 appendages sprung from my body towards the rapidly approaching trajectiles. They were met with a great vengeance and furious anger that was my fists and foot. I gave one of them a concussion and possible few years in physio. I managed to badly bruise the other 2 but it was enough to scare off the wolves that were waiting for the outcome and an easy meal.

I ate some pine needles and sat for a moment to reflect upon my fate in triphamnt euphalation.

And that’s all I really got up to yesterday. Didn’t have much else planned to be fair, so just relaxed after that an watched telly.

How about you?

Dedication to Ryan

Hi Brent

Today was moving experiencing and my sincere condolence to his mom and dad, Chrystal and his family. friends and colleagues.

Ryan was a happiest person  I know , he laughed and made me  laugh  and feel special.  At my birthday in November he  arrived typically windswept, he flew in – he walked into my lounge with his bike gear on and helmet under his arm with that huge infectious smile. He promptly stripped off his clothes and changed into something more appropriate for a party.

I am going to miss him dearly. His coffee, red bull and riding across the office doing wheelies on his chair always made me smile so much.

A dear friend and colleague

I miss you Ryan

Heather

I will always remember Ryan as being one of the funniest people I have ever met. Constantly laughing and animated.

He definitely made school a better place to be!

One of a kind….

All love and condolences to Ryan’s girlfriend and family

Inter House Cricket Std 5!

I had the privilege of knowing Ryan from the time he moved to Cape Town and attended Bergvliet Primary School: As a new kid at school Ryan quickly became a fan of the ladies with his boyish good looks and his rise to class joker was immediate often having the entire class including the teach in fits of laughter.

The picture attached is from a home video my mother took of us before we started our first game of inter house cricket in Std 5. (I took the picture white freeze framing the video so I apologise for the quality). In the picture Ryan was conducting a pre match interview and in the frames before this picture he was using a mini cricket bat as a mic. As you can see from his team mates it was no ordinary boring pre match speech LOL

Ryan will always be remembered for his sense of humour, passion and dedication to his friends.
